“Our goal is to get you closer to your goals...Closer to enjoying that family beach holiday...Closer to being able to relax and find peace in the water..Closer to overcoming your fear of water so you can finally feel a sense of safety and belonging in it.”
The Black Swimming Association (BSA) is a charity offering water familiarisation and orientation courses for people who do not engage in swimming. Co-founded by Seren Jones (@serentljones) journalist and ex-elite swimmer, Ed Accura (@edaccura) songwriter, producer and filmmaker, Danielle Obe (@danielle.obe) sovereign implementation advisor and entrepreneur and Alice Dearing (@alicedearingx) former Olympic swimmer —all working to raise awareness of water safety and drowning prevention, particularly for with Black and Brown communities.
This course is specifically for adults who live, work or study in Greenwich, who struggle with fear or lack of confidence in water. If you’ve had a bad experience with water but want to give it another try, join the BSA’s water safety course!
