“From kids swimming with their parents to the speediest long distance athletes, there was so much determination and so many goals achieved!”
The BIG Welsh Swim is part of a wider series of swimrun and open-water swim events by Love SwimRun, founded by Chloë Rafferty in 2016. After her first “frustrating and disappointing” swimrun in Loch Lomond, Scotland, in 2015, she decided to organise her own swimrun event in North Wales–with shorter distances and solo entries allowed. “I wanted to give as many people as possible the opportunity to try out swimrun, so it was going to be a fun and accessible event that would be inclusive.”
Swimming among the lush and historic scenery of Snowdonia, get your endorphins up at The BIG Welsh Swim!
