Learn to Canoe and Wild Camping Weekender in Bedford, England with Black Girls Hike
Image of a Black Girls Hike canoeing session
“Imagine the scenes: it’s a hot Summers day, the fresh air is flowing through your hair as you gently canoe through the Great River Ouse, you’re laughing & learning with fellow Black women”
Black Girls Hike, founded by Rhiane Fatinikun (@rhianesworld), provides a safe space for Black women to explore the outdoors through the group hikes and outdoor activity days they host.
This is a beginner-friendly adventure with canoeing taking place on flat water, and if you’re not a confident swimmer, don’t worry, you’ll be wearing a buoyancy aid at all times!
You’ll be in the company of 2 expert canoe guides, 14 other attendees and 1 BGH leader, pitching your own tent and sleeping under the stars by campfire in a secluded riverside woodland, after a good few hours of canoeing. If this sounds like fun, this adventure is for you!
